Vision, Mission & Goals

VISION: WCS envisions a world where wildlife thrives in healthy lands and seas, valued by societies that embrace and benefit from the diversity and integrity of life on earth.

MISSION: WCS saves wildlife and wild places worldwide through science, conservation action, education, and inspiring people to value nature.

GOAL: The conservation of more than 50 percent of the world’s biological diversity while ensuring a positive impact on millions of people globally.

The WCS Brazil Program is a Brazilian non-profit organization founded in 2003. Since its foundation, the organization has focused on conservation efforts in the Pantanal and Amazon regions. The strategy of WCS-Brazil is to identify critical conservation problems and develop science-based and community-driven solutions that benefit natural landscapes, wildlife, and human populations.
